Artist-Author, Melissa Leslie-Quinones is gearing up for her latest challenge yet by merging together her series of children's bilingual books, "Kumusta Baby!-Baby's First Tagalog Words" and elevating them into an animated feature film for Sticky Rice Stories.
When Melissa became a Mother she made the decision and commitment to use her talents from the entertainment, Fashion and Fine Art industry to bridge the gap of language, identity and culture as a Filipino-American for herself and her children into children's literature and entertainement.
Vision
The hope of this project to support Filipino families (over 4.1m Filipino/American families in America) who are also seeking fun and educational ways to pass on the rich history, culture and language to their children and family by creating a feature film that families from 0-109 years of age can appreciate and enjoy together.
